I’m all about celebration!  We need to take time off to reflect and celebrate in life!  So, I want to ask you– what are some of your wins from Q1?

Honestly, if I didn’t have practice of self-reflection I would have said that I accomplished very little.  Thank you #morningsickness.  After years of trying to have a baby, we found out that we were pregnant on December 28th. So most of Q1 has been me processing the fact that yes– I am going to be a mom!

📍Exceeded my annual goal for coaching clients in Q1 (ie I set a goal for the number of people I’d coach this year— and I surpassed it in just January and February!). Want to learn more? http://tabulaespacial.18.189.253.194.nip.io/coaching-program

📍 I got to work with a brand that I so love and support doing a Branded Partnership Deal!  Thank you SafeGraph!  Don’t forget to check out their data shop (https://bit.ly/3iptNkm where you can use code JULIANA50 for $50 off your first purchase). Not quite sure how to use the data?  You can watch this video to learn more on how to use the data.

📍I moved my body!  Apparently, when you are pregnant it is important to move even when you feel 🤢.  I wasn’t perfect in my movement goals, but given how 🤢 I felt I’m really thankful for how much I moved. We got some great hikes in and just walks around the neighborhood.

📍Stayed Pregnant!  This may not seem like that much of a win to, but 1 in 4 pregnancies end in miscarriage. Given how long it took Jefferson and me to get pregnant I had real fears over actually staying pregnant.  I’m 18 weeks and baby is still inside of me (and constantly on my bladder— but I’m so thankful! ❤️❤️)

📍Hosted an engagement party for my best friend who is getting married in June! One of my most favorite memories ever will be me telling her that we were pregnant right after she told me that she was going to get married! God is good.

📍I built some cool stuff! At work, I’ve been managing two projects.  One if managing deliverables for our busy season.  We are in the midst of that season and I’m having a blast. I also have built/ product manage a tool that forecasts our online grocery demand. It is really being put to the test.

📍Teaching Intro to GIS at my alma mater!  This has been a dream come true. I have learned so much in teaching.  In particular, I don’t like the textbook that we have used and how I structured the class. But I’m thankful for all of the people who have come to speak to our class. And as my students are proposing their final projects I’m getting super excited that they are seeing the power of spatial thinking! (I’m also thankful for their grace as ArcGIS Pro has had some issues!)

📍Hosting!  Because of me being pregnant we’ve still been pretty cautious with COVID.  However, over the past few months, we’ve had the opportunity to host a few friends at our house and it has been so life-giving.  The guys from our group at church have all really gotten into curling and so we had some epic Olympic Curling Math Watching.
