Storms have the ability to deeply impact the supply chain. Events like flooding or hurricanes can not only increase demand for products they can also create difficulty in stocking stores.
I developed a tool using ArcGIS Model Builder in ArcGIS Pro for a client to be able to quickly ingest NOAA Storm Reports and extract maps and a list of their stores and distribution centers impacted by storms.
Our process enabled greater customer service as my client was able to direct needed products to stores and areas impacted by storms.
