Mapping Customer Paths

Synthetic Routes 2021

Have you ever wondered how customers may have gotten to your store? Are you trying to better understand the catchment of your store, but unsure how to do that? Are you trying to decide if billboard advertisements make sense to you?

I developed a tool called “Synthetic Routes” to help answer those questions. The tool leverages cell phone data where we are able to get an approximate “home” location. We then route visitors on the most likely path taken from their home to your facility. This gives us an idea of the probable routes traveled. These individual routes are then aggregated on roads to give you an idea of the common roads taken to your store.
